Trace Keryn tightened his grip on his broomstick as his eyes darted around the Quidditch pitch. The 6th-year Gryffindor boy knew that this was the last game until next term after the holidays, and since it was against Slytherin, he knew they had to win, or they would be out of the running for the Quidditch Cup this year. The whole school was seated in the tall stands watching and cheering. He knew that most of the people cheering his side just wanted Slytherin to lose. Trace swung around, looking for any hint of gold he could find that would lead him to the Snitch. As he shot around the pitch on his Silver Arrow 2, he wondered briefly if Mayrua was watching. He had forgot to ask her if she was coming to the game or not. The commentator announced that Slytherin was up to 80 points over their 60. This game had gone on for far too long. He needed to find that Snitch. Mayura was deffently late for the quidditch game. "Shoot." she whispered to herself as her long wavy brown hair flew over her shirt. Her dark hazil eyes glared ahead of herself as she ran up a thing of stairs. The stupid Hufflepuff head kept her back because she was 'staring at her wrong.' Bunch of hogwash. As she got outside she looked up into the air at the snitch fly right by Trace. "Trace! It's over there!" she yelled out to him as her eyes widened with excitement. Trace swung around in the direction of the voice to see Mayrua approaching the Quidditch pitch. His eyes darted in the direction she was pointing, and he saw it, a glint of gold in the distance. He put on a burst of speed and chased after it. unfortunately, the Slytherin seeker also saw it, and started flying in his direction. Mayura's eyes widened as she watched the two head out for the snitch. "Come on Trace.." she said to herself with glittering eyes. "Come on, beat Slytherin!" she shouted, and got few glares from those who were cheering on Slytherin." She hugged the jacket she was wearing around herself. "If you win, you can do whatever you want for a week!" Trace and the Slytherin seeker were closing in on the Snitch. It was almost within Trace's grasp! The Slytherin boy made a lunge for it, and the Snitch ducked underneath them. Trace rolled upside down and snatched the Snitch! Righting himself, he held it high in the air, much to the horror of the Slytherin seeker who scowled and flew off. Mayrua cheered and waved her hands into the air with the gester of happiness. "Yea!!" she shouted then backed up some as people started to flood the field. "Right." she whispered to herself running back into the commonsroom. Trace landed and went into the dressing room with the rest of the team to change out of their Quidditch robes. Once he was properly dressed again, Trace left the pitch and started towards the castle, hoping Mayrua would be waiting for him in the entrance hall. Mayura leaned against the wall and waited on Trace. "He always takes his time." she whispered to herself smiling slightly. "Whatever he wants for a week, heh. I'm going mad." she thought to herself closing her eyes. By the time Trace had arrived at the large wooden doors to the castle, everyone else had already gone inside. He pushed them open and slipped in himself, quickly looking around for May as he dodged angry Slytherins who looked as though they'd beat him if he came any nearer. Mayura tapped her foot on the ground and leaned against the wall still. "What should I say?" she wondered looking around at the people walking by. "He should be here soon." Trace looked around as the entrance hall emptied into the Great Hall for supper, and he finally spotted her. Smiling, he jogged over to her. "Did you see it? Did you see that catch? The look on the Slytherin's face!" "I saw it!" Mayrua said smiling. "I did point out the snitch though." she said putting her hands behind her back. "Should of tried out for snitch seeker instead of Beater." she said rubbing her head. "You win something from me though. I gotta do whatever you say for the next week. And you can do whatever you want with me." Trace's face went red. He could do.. whatever he wanted with her? "Th-that means..." He cleared his throat, a little nervous. He knew he'd liked her very much for a while now, but he hadn't the nerve to say anything. "Does that mean... that you'd like to.. be... more than... just friends?" Mayura blinked. A clueless look on her face. "I'm saying you can do whatever you want with me." she tilted her head slightly. "What's wrong with that?" "N-nothing!" he said quickly, worried that he was totally blowing this. "I just mean... what happens after a week? Do we have to go back to... just friends?" "Yeah." Mayura said rubbing her arm. "Now...what do you want to do?" she asked tilting her head slightly. "Everyone went to dinner." : Trace wasn't sure he understood what she was saying. He could do whatever he wanted to her, but only for a week? Surely that must mean something. Why would she offer something like that if she didn't want anything to happen. Maybe if he played along, he could talk to her properly about it. "Okay... um..." He looked around, as if pondering where they could go to be comfortable and alone. "Do you remember the rumour about that room in the castle? The Room of Requirement?" "Not sure.." Mayura said crossing her arms. "Want to go there and show me?" she asked tilting her head slightly. "I'm curious now." Trace took her hand and led her down a corridor away from the entrance hall. According to the rumours, the Room of Requirement was in one of the upper corridors, and would become whatever you needed. He pulled her along with him up staircases and down halls until they reached the spot. Of course, there was no door. There was a special way to open it. "Right... stay here a minute." According to the rumour, you walked back and forth down the corridor in front of the spot, thinking about what you needed. Trace started walking in front of the spot, thinking I need a place to be alone with May. I need a place to be alone with May. Mayura nodded at him and rocked back and forth and waited on him. After a few passes in front of the empty wall, the door appeared. Smiling, Trace took May's hand and opened the door, pulling her in with him, and shutting the door, which became invisible from the outside. The room had turned into exactly what they needed. It looked like a very comfortable living room. It had a wonderfully comfortable looking plush couch in front of a roaring warm fireplace to drive away the winter cold. There was an archway in the wall that lead to what looked like a bedroom, with a huge four-poster bed. "Wow." Mayura said with wide eyes. "This looks confortable." she said softly looking over at him. "What do you want me to do?" Trace walked over and took her hands in his, looking into her eyes. "I want you to tell me the truth when I ask this next question. That's what. Alright?" "Alright." Mayura said looking up at him and tilting her head slightly to the right. Trace cleared his throat nervously, unsure of how to ask it, even though the words were so clear in his mind. He let out a deep breath. "I accepted your.. 'reward'.. for one reason, May. We've been best friends since first year, and I really care about you. You might even say that... I like you.. a lot... more than as a friend..." He swallowed hard, then posed his question. "Do you.. feel the same?" Mayura looked up at him with wide eyes. "You like me..?" she asked with a blushed and looked down. Fooling with her hair she looked up at him. "I guess I can truely say....I do." Julian smiled. He reached out and touched her blushing face with his hand. "Then I know what I'd like for you to do next."
