Before the sleep was even out of his eyes, Abe was smashing all the clay pots in his bedroom. All in all, he only found two green rupees and one blue rupee. Hardly worth smashing the clay jars. After he dressed and ate, he left his family's home with only twelve rupees. That wasn't nearly enough to get a shield, much less a sword. Still, he walked through the woods and to the drawbridge leading to Hyrule Castle town. In the city, a few Deku scrubs tried to part the young boy from the few rupees he still had. Abe didn't fall for it. Aside from his tall stature, his very short brown hair and his purplish blow eyes, his most noticeable feature was his stubbornness. He decided to go to the Castle and get a sword and shield so he could go on an adventure. Nothing could stop him. "Hey, let go." A girl snapped as she was dragged out of the castle towns shooting ring. A hood was hiding her face and eyes. "I was wanting to give it a try, I had the rupees to play...why not let me?" They didn't reply, it must be something against the fact she was a girl. "Whatever." her gray-ish eyes glared to the wall across from them. Her back held a bow and arrow case. "This town has to have something else..." she sighed looking ahead at Abe who looked like he was looking for some way to get some rupees. "Heh, this is interesting." she said was her long blue hair fell from behind the hood. Walking passed him, she slipped a purple rupee into his hand. "Get a good weapon, little boy." she said quietly to him, not knowing his real age. Mikya turned the corner and took the hood off. Her eyes looked over at Abe. There was something about him that struck her slightly, but she didn't know what it was. Strange. He didn't notice the girl at first, but he noticed something slip into his hands. When he looked, it was a purple rupee. He was excited. He resisted the urge to hold it over his head with both hands Then, of course, he grew a little uncertain. "Um, thanks," he said, looking at the blue-haired girl. "But how did you know I was looking for a weapon?" In hindsight, that was probably a stupid question. He wasn't dressed like a farmhand. He wasn't a carpenter's apprentice. He was obviously a bumpkin from the woods, and aside from selling firewood, he'd have only one thing to do in town. Buy a weapon. "Most of the people who come to this town want some sort of weapon." she said shrugging. "That's what I assumed." she waved her hand at him, refusing to let him see her face. "Go on now, I've got business at hand." Abe's eyes narrowed. He didn't think she had business at hand. People who have business at hand don't get kicked out of some game, nor do they hand out shiny purple rupees. "Thanks for the rupees," he said and walked to the bazaar. Most of the swords were sold out, of course. There was a sabre imported from the Gerudo Valley, but that was a bit pricey. All they had was a wooden sword, which came in a set, along with a wooden shield. Kokiri craftsmanship, no doubt. He went with that and it left him with ten rupees and very low self esteem. Mikya made it to the castle gates, she showed them the pendent she had. The water sage symbol, letting her inside she was soon kicked out. The princess Zelda wasn't there. "Out of business." they had said. Sighing she looked up at the evening sky, and cursed to herself. The gate would be closing soon. Making a run for it, she soon ran right into Abe, literarlly falling ontop of him. Her hood fell off. "I'm sorry.." she said holding her head. Abe fell down, and his shield withstood the impact better than his spine. Maybe it wasn't such a bad shield after all. "It's alright," he said, and staggered to his feet, keeping his hand out for her. "Thanks again for your help." He let himself look at her face and found that it was beautiful. He hadn't seen many faces in his life and most of them belonged to Zoras and Deku Scrubs. He decided he liked that mystery lady's face. Mikya put the hood back on as she took his hand. "Oh, you're that boy." she said standing back up and looked up at him. He was taller then she remember. "You're welcome." she smiled slightly. "I've gotta get out of town before sunset, excuse me." she said quietly to him. "By yourself?" he asked. "With just a bow and some arrows?" Not for the first time, he looked at her quizzically. "I'm in your debt. If there's anything I can do. . ." Mikya looked at her bow. "It's enough...but if you have a place I could stay for the night, I'd say we were even.." she said looking up at him. "I'm Mikya."
